At its core, clove, cinnamon, and maple glow like offerings placed upon a ritual hearth, casting flickers of spice and sweetness into the cooling air. They are the youngest of the Sageborn, small, bright‑eyed spirits who emerge only during the winter season, when the veil between worlds thins and the air hums with celestial hush. The Snowborn tend to the Winterveil, gathering the season’s sweetness and warmth to keep the world from slipping too deeply into shadow. They carry bowls of glowing fruit, sprinkle spice into the hearth‑fires of the realm, and weave ribbons of caramel‑gold light through the branches of sleeping trees.
